Affiliate Disclosure
Where the money comes from.
Rice Cubes is a free, independent site. Our revenue comes from two sources:
- Affiliate commissions — when you click a link on our site and buy a product at an external retailer (Amazon, Sephora, Ulta, and others), we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
- Display advertising — ads served programmatically through ad networks.
The firewall
Our product picks, ratings, and ingredient analyses are not influenced by affiliate payouts. We never swap a product we recommend for one that pays more. If a product we previously recommended changes in a way that makes us retract the recommendation, we update the post and say why.
FTC compliance
We are a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
We also participate in Sephora's affiliate program via Rakuten Advertising and similar programs at other retailers. Links are marked or otherwise identified.
Editorial independence
No skincare brand pays us to write favorably about their products. No brand has approval rights over anything we publish. If we are ever sent a product for review, we disclose it in that specific post.
